Is creativity in crisis?

Listen to Aries Moross, Nate Agbetu and Ashley Mi Ki Mak chat with our Creative Director Rhianna Cohen to celebrate the next round of the MØRNING People Fund

MØRNING, do you feel like creativity is in crisis?

No secrets here, the creative industry is a shit show (@ funding cuts, cost of living crisis, systemic bias, gatekeeping, you know the drill). The first point of call? Understanding where exactly we’re going wrong.

We see a big part of our role at MØRNING in starting conversations that examine these shortfallings and iterate on new pathways forward. Cue: The MØRNING People Fund, our chance to give back to the culture that feeds us all (and to encourage you to do the same), while opening up those discussions we all need to have. Because just because we’re living in a broken system, doesn’t mean we can’t fix it.

To celebrate the launch of our next round of funding, we invited Aries Moross, creative director, illustrator and designer at Studio Moross, Nate Agbetu cultural curator, educator and creative strategist and Ashley Mi Ki Mak creative consultant, NTS radio host and founder of Studio Sadeo to talk about overcoming gatekeeping, getting your work out there, working independently VS institutionally and how we can incrementally world build a better future.

Big thanks to our thought-provoking panelists, our host, MØRNING’s Creative Director Rhianna Cohen, and the folks at Soho House.
